The programme model
Not a timetable of things to attend.
A process to join.
This is not a conference built around people speaking at an audience.
It is a working Forum built around people learning, questioning and creating together. Opening provocations give the room common themes; Working Forums and Learning Labs do the deeper work; the Commons connects what is being learned; and daily synthesis carries it into the Declaration.
The detailed timetable will grow as facilitators, partners and participants join the work. What is fixed now is the journey—and the expectation that everyone contributes.

Facilitated Working Forums bring different roles into honest inquiry around the challenges no sector can solve alone.

Learning Labs and partner-led experiences make ideas tangible, usable and open to challenge from the people in the room.

The Commons carries insights, tensions and emerging possibilities between rooms, pathways and the parallel student Assembly.

Daily synthesis turns contributions into clearer understanding, practical commitments and the Bratislava Declaration.

Inquiry
Working Forums
The core working rooms of BFLF. Facilitated, cross-sector groups examine a shared question, surface tensions, learn from different systems and develop recommendations or commitments.
Practice
Learning Labs
Applied experiences where partners and participants can demonstrate, test or build something together. The purpose is participation and learning—not a disguised sales presentation.
Connection
The Commons
The Forum's shared learning feed—not simply a room. Learning Snapshots, questions and emerging patterns move through the Commons so every part of the Forum can inform the others.
Student voice
Future of Learning Assembly
A parallel, Model United Nations–structured student forum. Students research, debate, negotiate and contribute recommendations directly to the Forum's shared direction.
Listening & discovery
IB Days
Dedicated sessions for IB-curious schools and governments to hear directly from IB—then continue into the wider Forum experience alongside other sectors.

Bratislava Declaration
Not a document written after the event. It develops across the Forum as adult and student perspectives are tested, connected and turned into shared understanding and commitments.

One unfolding conversation.
The programme is intentionally connected across both days. Participants move between common experiences, focused working spaces, the Commons and moments of reflection—carrying learning forward rather than beginning again in every room.

Wednesday 3 March
A preparation and leadership day for founders, programme leads, facilitators and selected partners. It aligns the people responsible for holding the Forum's working environment.

Student voice moves through the whole Forum.
The professional Forum and the Future of Learning Assembly work in parallel at two connected Bratislava venues. They do not become separate events: Learning Snapshots, questions and recommendations move between them through the Commons.

The Declaration is built in public.
Capture
Each working space contributes Learning Snapshots: key insights, tensions, questions and possible actions.
Connect
AI-supported synthesis helps reveal patterns across rooms while participants remain responsible for meaning and judgment.
Challenge
Emerging language returns to the Forum to be questioned, corrected and strengthened by different perspectives.
Commit
Shared understanding becomes recommendations, institutional commitments and work that can continue beyond Bratislava.
AI can help the Forum see patterns. People remain responsible for what those patterns mean—and what they choose to do next.
The programme does not end at closing
Leave with more than notes.
Participants return home with stronger questions, perspectives they would not encounter inside their usual professional bubble, relationships that can support the work and a shared Declaration they helped shape.
The next programme begins in the schools, universities, companies, clubs and public institutions where that learning is put into practice.
